Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our authentic Japanese matcha and teas.

How should I store my matcha to keep it fresh?

To maintain optimal flavor and color, store your matcha in a cool, dark place away from moisture and strong odors. Once opened, we recommend keeping the tin in the refrigerator and consuming it within 1 to 2 months.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship our premium teas worldwide directly from Japan. Shipping rates and delivery times vary by destination and are calculated at checkout.

What is the difference between ceremonial and culinary grade tea?

Ceremonial grade tea is crafted from the youngest tea leaves for a delicate, smooth flavor intended for whisking with water. Culinary grade tea has a bolder, more astringent profile that holds up well when blended into lattes or baked goods.

Are your teas tested for radiation and heavy metals?

Safety is our priority. Every batch of Ippodo tea undergoes rigorous testing for radiation and chemical residues to ensure it meets both Japanese and international safety standards.

Can I return my order if I change my mind?

Due to the perishable nature of food products, we cannot accept returns on tea once it has been shipped. However, if there is an issue with your order or damage during transit, please contact our support team immediately.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, as well as digital payment options like PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
